Transfer deadline day always gives us some big signings. That year, it is that of Icardi joining PSG.
The French club made the news of Mauro Icardi's signing official just one hour before the deadline. Inter and PSG, during negotiations on Monday, agreed to send the Argentine out on loan.
The footballer goes to the French capital after a good spell at Inter Milan in which he scored 124 goals in 219 appearances although it did not end in the best manner.
Mauro will on loan at the Ligue 1 club this season, but they will have the option to purchase him afterwards for around 70 million euros. In addition, before he moved on loan, he renewed his Inter contract until 2022.
Icardi therefore puts an end to the tough time he has had for the last year or so. He was stripped of the captaincy earlier this year and then he was not wanted by new coach Antonio Conte. He was also isolated from the rest of the team because of his arguments with the club due to comments made by his wife and agent Wanda Nara.
He will wear the number 18 shirt at PSG and he will play with Neymar, Mbappe and Cavani. A star studded strike force.
