Manchester United focused on Jadon Sancho before the summer transfer market officially started, even though they knew his transfer would be very difficult.
So difficult that the trip from Germany to England has not taken place because the two clubs have not reached a financial agreement. United were not willing to pay the 120 million euros Borussia were asking for.
Speaking to 'ZDF Sports', Borussia's CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke explained how the negotiation with Manchester United failed: "It was a misunderstanding of the situation. We would have been more willing to compromise. We had a line and we will continue with it next summer".
Borussia, if they receive the interest of the Old Trafford team again, will not move from that requested amount of 120 million, although the CEO of the Bavarian club indicated that "you can never say that a player is unsellable".
In an attempt to leave Sancho in the past, United have already set their sights on the youth academy, where Shola Shoretire plays, which they compare to Sancho.
