Roma, who finished sixth in Serie A, have pulled out of this summer's International Champions Cup as they have to play qualifying rounds to get into the group phase of the Europa League. Fiorentina will replace them.

The side from Rome, according to the schedule announced for the USA part of the tournament, should have faced Chivas Guadalajara (16th July, Chicago), Arsenal (20th July, Charlotte) and Benfica (25th July, Santa Clara).

"Considering the fact the team have to play in the second qualifting round of the Europa League which will take place on 25th July, the club have been forced to change the pre-season programme," according to a statement by Roma.

Roma's place in the tournament has been taken by Fiorentina who will play the same teams on the same dates.
