Carlo Ancelotti received very bad news this Friday ahead of Real Madrid's game with Levante this weekend. That is because the Italian has lost on his key players for the game.
As 'Marca' points out (as well as other media outlets), Luka Modric will be absent for the encounter at the Ciutat de Valencia after suffering problems in the adductor muscle which prevented him from training with the rest of the group.
This injury will prevent the veteran Croatian midfielder from being in the matchday two clash, but the club are concerned he will be out for longer.
According to 'Marca', the footballer will have several tests this Saturday to determine the full extent of his injury and to give an estimate on how long he will be out for.
With the 2018 Ballon d'Or winer out, Ancelotti will have to find a way to construct a strong midfield against Levante as Modric will not be the only absence.
As well as the Croatian, the Italian boss will not be able to play Toni Kroos, who is out with a hernia, while Martin Odegaard is also unavailable as he has now signed for Arsenal.
