Striker Cristiano Ronaldo played his 181st game for Portugal on Saturday and became the most capped player in Europe, ahead of Spain's Sergio Ramos (180).
Cristiano, 36, started the friendly against Qatar at the Estadio do Algarve in southern Portugal, adding another record to his collection.
In his last game in the Portuguese jersey, he already achieved another feat: becoming the player who has scored the most goals for his national team, surpassing the 109 goals scored by Iran's Ali Daei.
The Madeira-born player made his debut for Portugal on 20th August 2003, at the age of 18, in a game against Kazakhstan in which he played the second half.
His first goal for the 'quinas' came on 12th June 2004, during injury time in the opening Portugal-Greece match of Euro 2004.
With the Portuguese jersey, Cristiano won the European Championship in 2016 and the Nations League in 2018.
