Chelsea are rumoured to have a new interest in signing Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar, who has impressed many top clubs with his recent performances for the San Siro side.
After it has been widely reported that fellow Premier League side Manchester United are in the hunt for the Slovakian's signature, Chelsea appear ready to rival any approach made by the Old Trafford chiefs.
'The Sun' claim that the £70million.- valued defender is being chased by both clubs, in particular United, as it has been no secret that Jose Mourinho wants to reinforce his side's rearguard.
However it is now understood that Maurizzio Sarri has been impressed with Skirniar's displays in his homeland Italy this season, and is keen to bring him to West London.
Chelsea's current centre backs, bar Andreas Christensen, are all reaching their thirties, and as such, Sarri is keen to buy replacements early.
And so it seems that, come January, Skriniar will be the target for a number of top teams across the continent, and he need only take his pick.
