Real Madrid have beaten Cadiz 11 times at the Santiago Bernabeu out of the last 14 meetings which have been played between the two sides in Madrid, with the other three games ending in two draws and one Cadiz victory.
This last result did not take place at the Bernabeu, but the Alfredo Di Stefano stadium two seasons ago, due to the Madrid stadium being under renovations.
Cadiz won 0-1 thanks to the Honduran Anthony Lozano's goal, which gave the three points to the team then-managed by Alvaro Cervera, who now manages Oviedo.
The Cadiz side are back at Real Madrid next Thursday, in what will be the last league game before the World Cup break.
The highest scoring game between Madrid and Cadiz was in 1983-84, when Di Stefano's Madrid side won 6-2.
Real Madrid's goals were scored by the Malagan Juan Gomez (twice), fellow country-man Paco Pineda with two more, Carlos Alonso and the Spanish-Belgian Alberto Bernardo Murcia. Cadiz' two goals were scored by the Savladoran Jorge Gonzalez.
