Bayern Munich would have taken a step forward in recent hours for the signing of Atletico Madrid's Antoine Griezmann, who announced that he will not remain in the Spanish team next season. Apparently, the Germans have already asked for the Frenchman.

According to a tweet published by the journalist of 'Cadena COPE' Arancha Rodriguez, the directors of Bayern Munich have asked about the possible signing of Atlético Madrid's Griezmann, after the Frenchman announced that he will not continue in the Spanish team next season.

Arancha Rodríguez, quoting her team-mate Antonio Ruiz, published a tweet in the wdiely used platform in which she reported: "Antonio Ruiz says that Bayern is also interested in signing Griezmann. His sister was asked about it ".

Bayern's interest comes just hours after the French international striker himself on Twitter that this season is his last in Atletico, thus announcing his departure from Wanda Metropolitano a year after confirming that he was staying.

The widely known interest of Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain, among others,  is now joined by a Bayern Munich who would be willing to do everything in order to get his transfer.

This would also be the second year in a row that Bayern Munich try and sign the Frenchman, who will again be the protagonist of the summer transfer market.

However, the club that has shown the most interest for Griezmann is still Barcelona, who would have offered the Frenchman a five-year contract until 2024, going from the 21 million euros he currently earns at Atleti to 17. A contract that, in order to become a reality, would have to be signed after Barça will pay its 120 million euro termination clause.
