Barcelona open to discussing new deal with Wojciech Szczesny

Wojciech Szczesny retired from professional football last season, but the Polish goalkeeper decided to come out of retirement when FC Barcelona came knocking on the door to replace an injured Ter Stegen, who was set to miss the entire season.
The former Juventus goalkeeper decided to undertake this short-lived adventure on Catalan soil, although it is possible that his stay in Spain will not be as short as both the ‘Cules’ and himself had hoped.
Szczesny took the role of first choice goalkeeper away from Inaki Pena and the number of good performances he has already had in goal for the Cules has made the board consider offering him a new contract.
However, everything is in the hands of the Polish goalkeeper, who will have to decide whether he wants to stay at the Catalan club for one more season and possibly lose his starting role with the return to action of Ter Stegen or hang up his boots for good.
