Our shortlist includes Diego Costa of Chelsea, Pepe of Real Madrid, Nigel De Jong of Galatasaray, Luis Suarez of Barcelona, Raul Garcia of Athletic Bilbao and Edgar Dueñas of Puebla FC (Mexico).
Costa is known for taking cheeky shots or shouting insults at defenders who come too close, but he has also done his fair share of exaggerating contact in a theatrical way if he can get a penalty out of it.
Pepe of course is one of the most ruthless defenders and certainly one of the few players to have been suspended for stepping on the head of an opponent - twice in the same game!
De Jong is synonymous of dangerous tackling in Spain, where he will always be remembered for his brutal kick in the stomach of Xabi Alonso during the 2010 World Cup final.
Suarez is famous for his great scoring ability but also notorious for his urge to bite defenders, albeit admitedly he has given up the habit since joining Barcelona.
Garcia is known mostly for being provocative and generally a nuisance to opponents, while Duenas, although he is little known outside of central and south America, is synonymus of dangerous play in Mexico for his habit to show little concern for opponents' well-being.
