Lyon faced Monaco on Sunday night in a Ligue 1 clash at Parc OL.
The hosts took the lead after 12 minutes through Memphis Depay and Karl Toko Ekambi made it two in 34th minute. Lyon were then awarded a penalty seven minutes later which Houssem Aouar converted and Ekambi's second before the break put the game beyond Monaco after the first half. Despite Wissam Ben Yedder scoring a penalty in the 48th minute for the away side, they were unable to kick on and they lost 4-1. Lyon moved into 6th on 13 points following the win while Monaco dropped to 12th and have 11 points.
