It was a chaotic start to the second half of Borussia Dortmund v Sevilla. The Germans were 1-0 up, the Spanish side deserved to have scored a goal, but Dortmund doubled their advantage early in the second period to give Sevilla a tall order.
Haaland got inside the box after an individual move, he bumped into Fernando, who went to ground. The striker then beat Bono with a fine finish to make it 2-0.
But the celebrations were cut short. Referee Cuneyt Cakir went over to the screen to look at a possible foul by Haaland on Fernando. As he felt it was a foul, the VAR showed him a previous incident of Kounde pulling back Haaland insidde the box. The referee saw that as a foul and gave Dortmund a penalty.
Haaland hit from 12 yards, but Bono make a great save, he then stopped the rebound and then a defender blocked the third shot. The Norwegian could not believe it.
But the VAR checked the penalty and seconds later, he ordered a retake. The Sevilla keeper had come off his line early and the spot kick had to be retaken.
The La Liga side protested, but Haaland got a second chance. He hit to the same side, Bono went the right way again, but couldn't quite save it. The Norwegian celebrated in Bono's direction and that upset the Sevilla player.
Several of Sevilla's players went after the Norwegian to criticise him while he was celebrating. Haaland and a Sevilla player were booked.
Six minutes of madness between the 48th and 54th minutes in Germany.
