"Umtiti doesn't want to leave, but Lyon's a good option"

Samuel Umtiti is one of the Barcelona players to be discarded this summer. His knee problems and his poor performances in recent seasons have made him go from one of the best central defenders in the world to Koeman not counting on him. His future is very uncertain though.
At the moment, they have not been any serious offers in the market for the Frenchman to leave. In the summer, they said that the player's intention is to stay and Yannick Umtiti, his brother and agent, has confirmed it.
In an interview with 'foot01.com', the central defender's brother spoke about the situation. "Samuel does not want to leave Barca this summer. However, bearing in mind the club's desire for changes, alternatives may need to be studied which suit the player's goals."
He spoke about a club in particular. "The Lyon rumour is good, but unfortunately it's very unlikely to happen," a resigned Yannic Umtiti said. He thinks a return to the French club would be a good destination for the player.
This option has become difficult as it was meant to be a swap with Memphis Depay plus money. Nevertheless, Umtiti's brother's comments are now speaking openly about him looking for a departure from the Catalan capital.
