The president of the UEFA medical committee, Tim Meyer, sees the Champions and Europa League finishing more than complicated, as was planned.
In some declarations to 'dpa', Meyer recognised that finishing both European competitions in the middle of the coronavirus outbreak will be a challenge greater than the restart of national leagues.
"It's definitely more complicated, although only because of the current travel restrictions. You may need special permissions. There are different health and legal scenarios to consider. The levels of difficulty would be significantly higher in some places. The advantage is that postponing the games allows for calmer planning. We can wait to see how things develop," he said.
And he added: "The situation is not the same in all countries. In Germany the situation is relatively favourable at the moment compared to England. We currently have a decreasing number of infected people and we have a huge capacity for testing in the country, which is very different from other countries".
UEFA plan to resume the European competitions after the national leagues end, possibly at the end of August. Both the Champions and Europa League are stopped at the last 16 stage.
