Manchester United have several players who are out of contract soon. One of them is goalkeeper David De Gea, who arrived at Old Trafford 12 seasons ago from Atletico Madrid.
According to 'The Athletic', what Man United are demanding is that he reduce his salary to carry on for another season as the shot-stopper.
Just in case he says no, the club's board have started to look around at other options to replace De Gea. The first one is Unai Simon, Athletic Bilbao and Spain starter, and the other option would be Diogo Costa of Porto.
What would stop United from getting the Spaniard would be the exit clause that he has with Athletic Bilbao, and the amount Porto would be after for Costa could put them off.
