  • 95'
FT: 1-0. And that's it!!! WHAT a result for Nuno on his Spurs debut in the Premier League, as he leads them to a win over the reigning champions. A Son stunner was the difference against a City side without answers and lacking a clinical edge.
  • 95'
Gundogan down clutching his shoulder off the pitch, medics being instructed to tend to the player.
  • 94'
De Bruyne stopped by a magnificent Sanchez challenge. Roars from the crowd, Spurs nearly there.
  • 92'
Foul by Ake on Lo Celso.

  • 91'
Yellow for Grealish for a cynical foul on Moura. What a game the Brazilian has had today, City have been unable to control him!
  • 90'
Spurs change: Romero on Hojbjerg, who makes his debut for the club!
  • 89'
City without answers here. Their latest corner goes as far as the first man, and the resulting cross straight into the gloves of Lloris. Spurs so close to the finish line!
  • 87'
De Bruyne's vision for all to see. Torres found this time around, but his cross-come-shot is easily gathered by Lloris.
  • 84'
De Bruyne has made an instant impact here. The Belgian strikes from the edge of the box but Lloris manages to push it away for a corner. The strike slightly too close to the GK.
  • 83'
Spurs change: Doherty on for Tanganga.
  • 81'
City's corner is clipped to the edge of the box for Cancelo, but too high for a volley. He heads well but too powerfully, well over the top.
  • 79'
Chance for Spurs to go two up!! Son picks the ball up from the free-kick, turning and shooting at goal. Deflected narrowly wide for a corner.
  • 79'
City double change: De Bruyne on for Mahrez, Zinchenko on for Mendy.
  • 77'
Spurs change: Lo Celso on for Bergwijn, who receives a standing ovation from the Spurs faithful. Huge game from the Dutchman today
  • 71'
City change: Jesus on for Sterling
  • 70'
Chance for City!! Brilliantly worked FK sees Gundogan play the ball out wide to Mahrez. His cross is fired right onto the foot of Ferran, but the Spaniard can't get good contact on it and it bounces wide. What a miss!
  • 68'
Alli fouls Mahrez, FK in dangerous position for City.

Yellow card

  • 66'
Yellow card for Moura for a late challenge on Grealish.
  • 65'
Son down for Spurs but it looks like he'll be able to carry on.
  • 60'
Chance for Spurs for two! How has Bergwijn missed!! They counter again and the Dutchman is played in by Moura, going one-on-one with Ederson. Somehow he shoots wide past the front post, should have been two!
  • 59'
Take nothing away from the Son strike, however, which deserved a goal! City without an answer, so far.
  • 57'
Interestingly, Dias' attempt to block the ball certainly appeared to affect the view of Ederson in the City goal. After the CB missed his attempted save it was too late for Ederson to dive, the ball flying into the back of the net. Questionable defending from the Portuguese.

  • 55'
Goal for Spurs!!! Son opens the scoring!!!! Once again it comes from a counter attack, as Moura flicks it on for Bergwijn who then finds Son out wide. He takes his time to cut in past Ake with ease, shooting past Dias and into the bottom corner with Ederson rooted to the spot! Fantastic finish!!
  • 53'
Spurs with good build up again but lacking a clinical edge. Tanganga's flashed cross hits the top of Moura's head and out for a throw.
  • 52'
Fernandinho's shot from distance is dragged way wide, nearly out for a throw.
  • 49'
Spurs go up the other end but Moura's shot from distance is well wide.
  • 48'
Now City go close. Grealish's pass to Gundogan is just behind him and he has to turn to strike. Great block by Tanganga.
  • 47'
First chance of the half goes to Spurs as Dele breaks and finds Hojbjerg. His cross is cleared off Son's boot for a tap in by Dias.
  • 46'
We're back underway in North London!
  • 45'
HT: 0-0. The teams go in level at the break after few big chances for either son. Son went closest for Spurs with his deflected shot, while Mahrez missed a sitter for City. It's poised for a pivotal second half!
  • 45'
    1 minute added on!
  • 44'
Half chance for City, as Grealish's shot in the box is blocked before Fernandinho's follow up from the edge of the box is comfortably wide.
  • 42'
Son with a chance again, this one comfortably over. He strikes a volley from his own set up, but it's way over the bar.
  • 40'
Chance for Spurs!!! Son this time goes inches away, after his strike on the edge of the box is deflected narrowly wide. The deflection isn't spotted however, as the linesman points for a goal kick.
  • 39'
Spurs try to break from the City corner with Bergwijn but his pass is too short for Alli. Cancelo intercepts, chance wasted.
  • 35'
Chance for City!!! Mahrez misses a sitter!! Sterling works it well down the left before pulling back from the by line to Mahrez who is completely free on the penalty box. Somehow the Algerian skews it horribly wide with his shin, Tottenham let off the hook!
  • 34'
City now having a decent spell. Grealish has a goalbound shot well blocked.
  • 30'
Mendy's cross hits Skipp in the box and City went a penalty, but it clearly hit him in the chest.
  • 28'
Great spell for Spurs this! Moura drives forward brilliantly, setting up Bergwijn who eventually pulls back for Son, his effort blocked by Fernandinho. Moura offside from the follow up.
  • 25'
Chance for Spurs!! Ederson in no man's land as Sanchez's header deflects wide. Lucas Moura strikes on the volley at an empty goal but Gundogan gets back to block on the line
  • 23'
Fernandinho fouls Alli, Spurs will look to cross from the FK.
  • 22'
Chance from the Spurs corner as Dias does just enough to flick clear. Closest Spurs have come!
  • 19'
Sterling pulls back Tanganga, clear free kick.
  • 16'
Spurs seeing more of the ball here but are far from creating any real danger. Certainly not as much domination from City, however, which will encourage Nuno slightly.
  • 12'
Great skill from Mahrez down the right but Lloris gets down to stop the cross, holding on.
  • 11'
Sterling threatening this time as he makes the most of an opening in the Tottenham defence. Skipp comes across to cover.
  • 9'
    Tanganga fouls Grealish.
  • 6'
Another City chance! Mahrez's ball is cleared by Dier only as far as Cancelo inside the box, but he stabs it wide. City dominating from the first minute, here!
  • 5'
Another chance for City!! Mendy crosses from the short corner and Lloris comes rushing out to punch. The GK gets nowhere near it and Fernandinho heads just wide. Let off for Spurs!
  • 4'
Gundogan shoots from the FK but it's Skipp who flicks it over the top from the wall. Inches away!
  • 3'
Grealish has arrived!! He breaks though Hojbjerg and Skipp with a fantastic bit of skill, winning a foul right on the edge of the box from Skipp. Dangerous position for City to shoot from the FK.
  • 1'
Players take a knee and we're underway!

The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is full and the flags are waving, what an atmosphere we have here!
  • PRVW
It's a cloudy day in North London today, the temperature a warm 23º.
  • PRVW
Anthony Taylor will be in charge of proceedings today, with Stuart Attwell on VAR duties. They will hope to continue what has been a largely successful opening weekend of officiating.
  • PRVW
Looking ahead to the match, City will look to extend their run of winning their first game in each of the last 10 top-flight campaigns since 2011/12.
  • PRVW
The standout name is undoubtedly 100-million-pound man Jack Grealish, who starts in a slightly deeper role in a midfield trio alongside Fernandingo and Gundogan. This could easily become a 4-2-3-1 formation, however, with all of Grealish, Sterling, Mahrez and Ferran more than capable of switching up the roles.
  • PRVW
Looking at City's squad, Guardiola rests many of his usual starters. Walker, Stones, Zinchenko, Rodri and De Bruyne all start from the bench. Mendy and Ake retain their places from the Community Shield defeat to Leicester, the latter of whom doing so despite his costly error for the decisive penalty.
  • PRVW
Other standout names in the Spurs XI include 20-year-old Oliver Skipp who starts in midfield, as does Dele Alli who looks to get back the starring role lost during Mourinho's tenure. In Kane's absence, Son is the lone striker up front.
  • PRVW
Taking a look at the teams, there is no place for Harry Kane anywhere in Tottenham's squad, amid his rumoured move to today's opponents City. New signings Gollini, Romero and Bryan Gil all have to settle for a space on the bench.
  • PRVW
City bench: Steffen (GK), Laporte, Walker, Stones, Zinchenko, Rodri, De Bruyne, Bernardo Silva, Gabriel Jesus
  • PRVW
Spurs bench: Gollini (GK), Davies, Romero, Doherty, Winks, Lo Celso, Sissoko, Scarlett, Bryan Gil
  • PRVW
City XI: Ederson (GK); Cancelo, Dias, Ake, Mendy; Gundogan, Fernandinho, Grealish; Mahrez, Ferran, Sterling
  • PRVW
Spurs XI: Lloris (GK); Tanganga, Sanchez, Dier, Reguilon; Skipp, Hojbjerg; Bergwijn, Alli, Lucas; Son
  • PRVW
Will Harry Kane be in the Tottenham squad? Will Jack Grealish feature for City? We're about to find out, as we take a look at the teams!
  • PRVW
This match will of course be steeped in controversy given the ongoing Harry Kane saga, as the England captain continues to force a move out of the club and to Man City, despite both clubs still being far away from agreeing an asking price.
  • PRVW
This will be Nuno's first competitive test as Spurs boss, after he oversaw a pre-season record of three wins and two draws in five matches. It doesn't get much tougher than the reigning champions City, whose last outing was a defeat in the Community Shield to Leicester on August 7.
