Norway called up Haaland for the matches against Serbia (2nd June), Sweden (5th), Slovenia (9th) and Sweden (12th). The new Manchester City striker attended a press conference, the first time he had spoken in public for several weeks.
"If I can brag a little bit, if there's one thing I'm very good at it's focusing, focusing on football and not focusing on things I shouldn't be focusing on, isolating myself from everything," explained Haaland, who acknowledged it has been a difficult season.
The interview began with Norway coach Stale Solbakken advising that Haaland would not be answering questions about his move to Manchester City. But there was one issue that was a must.
The death of Mino Raiola has marked Haaland, who held him in high regard beyond the fact that he was his agent: "He did things differently.
"You can imagine, I don't have to say much more. But that's the way it is. I can't complain, I like my life, I like where I am. I shouldn't complain," added Haaland, who has also had a lot of injury problems this season.
Haaland stressed that "the last few months have been tough". "This has not been easy but at the same time I have done the best I could for Borussia Dortmund for two and a half years," Haaland said, before leaving a final message: "I am ready for the four games with the national team and that makes me happy.
