14 matches without defeat
The Reds hadn't lost since 17th December, when they were knocked out the EFL Cup by Aston Villa with a convincing 5-0 win. Of course, in that match, Liverpool played with a youth team, as the first team were playing in the Club World Cup. If you take into account matches played with just the first team, the Reds hadn't lost in 34 matches. The last time they lost was 2-0 against Napoli in the Champions League group stages.
Without shots on goal
Liverpool were very close to scoring with several shots that went just wide. However, they ended the match without any shots on goal. This hadn't happened to the Reds since 3rd December 2018, when they lost 1-0 also against Napoli in last season's Champions League.
End of 4 matches with a clean sheet
Saúl's goal put an end to a spectacular defensive streak from the Reds. They hadn't conceded a goal since 29th January, after beating West Ham 2-0, Southampton 4-0, Shrewsbury- again with several youngsters- 1-0 and Norwich 1-0.
First match without scoring since December
Liverpool have based their success in the first half of the season on their good work in front of goal. They hadn't failed to score since the EFL Cup match against Aston Villa, with everything that surrounded that match. They also didn't score in 90 minutes against Flamengo in the Club World Cup final, although they did so in extra time. In the rest of the match this season, with the exception of the match at the Wanda and away to Napoli, Klopp's men had scored.
