The 2021 Ballon D'or winner will be announced on 29th November 2021. The French magazine, 'France Football' made the 30-men shortlist public.
These are the nominees:
Cesar Azpilicueta (Chelsea/Spain)
Chelsea's captain played an important role in 'The Blues' second Champions League trophy. He also helped Spain reach the Euro 2020 semi-finals.
Nicolo Barella (Inter/Italy)
First nomination. The Italian midfielder was a key player in Italy's Euro win as well as winning the Serie A title with Inter Milan.
Karim Benzema (Real Madrid/France)
Tenth nomination. The French forward is Madrid's main man up front. Great stats and a eader in Zidane's and Ancelotti's teams.
Leonardo Bonucci (Juventus/Italy)
Second nomination. Juventus' center-back was one of Italy's most important men in the Euro 2020, scoring in the final.
Kevin de Bruyne (Manchester City/Belgium)
Sixth nomination. A player that always outstands in the Premier League championship team.
Giorgio Chiellini (Juventus/Italy)
First nomination. Bonucci's teammate in the European champion's defence.
Cristiano Ronaldo (Juventus-Manchester United/Portugal)
17th nomination. Always a challenger for the award. Years go by, but the five-times Ballon D'Or winner remains as one of the best goalscorers in Europe.

First nomination. Manchester City's defence was taken to another level after his signing was completed.

First nomination. One of the winners this season. He played a crucial role for Chelsea and Italy, as he won both European trophys.

Third nomination. One of the Euro's 2020 top scorers, reached the final with England.
N'Golo Kanté (Chelsea/France)
Third nomination. Disappointing Euro 2020, but Chelsea's main man in their Champions League title.
Simon Kjaer (Milan/Denmark)
First nomination. Great Euro 2020 as he lead Denmark to the semi-finals.
Robert Lewandowski (Bayern Munich/Poland)
Sixth nomination. The 2020 Ballon D'Or favorite, unfortunately for him, the award was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. He hasn't stop scoring goals for Bayern.
Romelu Lukaku (Inter-Chelsea/Belgium)
First nomination. He was Inter's main man to win the Seria A title and break Juventus' dominance. One of the Euro's top scorers with Belgium.

Fourth nomination. One of the biggest players right now. He is not the favorite for this year, but he will definetly be at some point in the next couple of years.
Lionel Messi (Barcelona-PSG/Argentina)
15th nomination. Messi won his first international trophy against Brazil in Maracana. His Copa America win and PSG transfer makes him the main favorite to win the award for a seventh time.
Luka Modric (Real Madrid/Croatia)
Fourth nomination. Despite his age, he still runs Madrid's midfield.
Gerard Moreno (Villarreal/Spain)
First nomination. Played the Euro 2020 with Spain and lead Villarreal to their first title ever, the Europa League.
Mason Mount (Chelsea/England)
First nomination. One of Chelsea's main men in their UCL victory.
Neymar (PSG/Brazil)
Tenth nomination. Not a favorite this year. Runner-up in the Copa America and Ligue 1.
Pedri (Barça/Spain)

Third nomination. Salah was the second top scorer in the Premier League.
