PSG finished the game against Manchester City in dire fashion. The French side were already 2-0 down thanks to two goals from Rihad Mahrez, whose second goal came from a fantastic counter-attack from the 'Sky Blues'.
PSG then capsized and tried to get themselves back into a game by any means, although they needed three goals to do so.
The frustration took over Angel Di Maria, who saw red for a horrible stamp on Fernandinho. The Brazilian had cut off the Argentine's run before kicking the ball away from the sideline. Di Maria, visibly furious, returned to pick up the ball and stamped on Fernandinho's foot who was completely out of play.
Kuipers didn't doubt for a second, showing the Argentine player a straight red. This ended any potential way back into the game for PSG, who fail to reach their second final in as many seasons.
