Mohamed Salah's future has not been resolved and it seems like it will take a while to be resolved. Despite the fact both Liverpool and the footballer are doing their bit, they have not reached an agreement, at least up to now.
'The Mirror' says that Salah's salary is what is preventing both parties from reaching a deal. They have yet to reach an agreement on this point and that is slowing down the signing of a new contract.
According to this source, Salah is asking for around 1.6 million pounds a month. That means just over 19 million pounds a year. The amount seems excessive in Liverpool's eyes and, at the moment, they have refused to give in to the Egyptian's demand.
But 'The Mirror' believes that the club thinks that the club could still get him to change his mind. Salah thinks he is calling the shots. He knows his potential and is aware that other European clubs could offer him the amount of money he is asking for. He could try and use that to his advantage to get Liverpool to pay him those 19 million pounds a year, which would make him one of the best paid players in the Premier League.
At the moment, Salah has a contract until 2023. It is a matter of time before big clubs start to knock on Liverpool's door to try and persuade the attacker to try his luck away from Anfield. It remains to be seen whether the club give in and pay him that amount of money or not.
