Ronaldo has not played for his national team since the World Cup exit against Uruguay, after requesting some time off.
The Portuguese star wanted a break to recover from the loss, but also to help him as he settles into life at new club, Juventus.
"There is no doubt. If you still have doubts, I don't know," Santos said to the press. "But Cristiano Ronaldo is part of this team."
Ronaldo is therefore unavailable as Portugal prepare to face Poland in their final Nations League game, but that will not be a concern as they have already qualified top of their group.
