Record-breaking Mandzukic put fear into Madrid hearts

No one was expecting it and this only made it more impressive. Juventus shocked the Bernabeu with an almost perfect first half performance. 

It was as if a different was playing compared to the one that lost 3-0 in Turin a week ago as the Italians imposed themself on the game and came close to levelling it up with less than a half played. 

Fans were still taking their seats in the stands when Mandzukic made it 1-0 with the perfect header. The Croat, who has previously been a thorn in the side of 'los Blancos' with Atletico, became a plague for the Real Madrid defence during the second leg of the Champions League tie. 

It's not that Real Madrid did not have chances; Isco, Bale and Varane all came close. But Juve were the ones to score again with the same player in the same position. 

Mandzukic became the first opposing player to score twice at the Bernabeu in a half, and the first player two score two headers against Real Madrid at their ground.
