Claudio Ranieri arrived at Sampdoria in October to revive a team which had started the Serie A season badly.
The veteran coach has announced that he will continue at the club, despite Italian football's uncertain future due to the coronavirus stoppage.
"I'm staying, as long as the president agrees," the ex-Leicester, Roma, Inter, Atletico, Chelsea, Juventus, Valencia and Monaco boss said.
Ranieri joined Sampdoria with the team bottom and now the Genoa outfit are in 16th, with 26 points, one more than the bottom three.
