Real Madrid's chances of progressing in the Champions League are at stake on Wednesday and it will be Borussia Monchengladbach who put to test the capability of Zidane's side to comeback.
Zidane has named his 24 man squad for the match at the Alfredo Di Stéfano and hasn't hesitated in putting two pillars of defence on the list: Ramos and Carvajal.
The players who remain out are Hazard, Valverde, Odegaard, Mariano and Jovic through injury; the youth team player and midfielder Arribas enters the squad.
In the case of the big additions to the squad, captain Sergio Ramos has already completed his period of recovery after missing the match against Sevilla at the Sánchez-Pizjuán when his return seemed clear.
Regarding the full-back, Carvajal will come into it very soon because he has had to speed up his recovery process, although he has trained normally. It will be Zidane who decides whether to start Carvajal or keep Lucas Vázquez at full-back.
