"PSG wanted me to come and play for free"

The relationship between Thomas Meunier and PSG has ended badly. The full-back, who now plays for Borussia Dortmund, criticised the Parisian side for insisting that the player play for "practically free".

"Leonardo never tried to make a deal with Borussia Dortmund, let alone with me. He wanted me to go and play with PSG practically for free".

Meunier assured that PSG "told him on the phone" that he "should not cross anyone’s path because he could tell disturbing stories".

"Leonardo told the press in France that I had refused to renew my contract. But that is not true, I want to make that quite clear", Meunier told the German news site 'DPA'.

These words seem to close the door opened by Watzke, in which he dropped that Meunier could play the rest of the Champions League for PSG.
