PSG ready to put everything forward for De Ligt

PSG are top of the list for De Ligt. Barcelona came the closest to signing him after learning of his interest in playing with his compatriot Frenkie De Jong.

The Catalan club, however, are unable to satisfy the defender's economic requests and have since backed down from his signing.

Manchester United had also jumped on the De Ligt band wagon, but PSG are prepared to offer more. The Parisian club certainly have sufficient funds, meaning that are more than capable of meeting the Dutchman's economic requirements.

The French club are prepared to pay the 85 million euros that Ajax are asking for, as well as the 10 million that De Ligt's agent, Mino Raiola, would receive and the 13 million that De Ligt wants as a salary.

This season, De Ligt played 55 matches for the club that surprised European football - Ajax. The player has been at the Amsterdam club his whole career, rising up through the ranks and becoming a professional at the age of just 15. Now, aged 19, he has reached the coveted title of team captain.

Ajax have shone this season, making great leaps in the Champions League. Also, Ten Hag's players have lifted the league trophy. Their good results have put a vast majority of the squad on the radar's of many of Europe's big clubs and De Ligt could be one of the biggest signings of the summer.
