Paris Saint-Germain's board is still looking to improve their squad ahead of the next transfer window. They have sent scouts to Portugal to keep a close eye on a Sporting CP player.
According to 'A Bola', Manuel Ugarte, a midfielder who has been with the Portuguese side for the past two seasons, is being closely monitored by the Parisians for next season.
Carlos Xavier, former Sporting Portugal player, spoke about the Uruguayan: "Ugarte's performances are no longer a surprise. When he played last season you could see that he was a player with a lot of quality and that he had a lot of room for progression ahead of him".
The Uruguayan player has a contract until 2026 with the Portuguese club and, although he is not willing to leave, the club would be happy to consider an offer if it meets the needs of the board.
Ugarte, who is often compared to Federico Valverde, could become PSG's new signing in the winter transfer window after the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
