"People say a lot of crazy things about PSG. And there are some things you can't deny; that they're a bazaar, that there are players that don't talk, that the manager has no control... What sort of circus is this?" Tapie said in an interview with 'CNews'
The ex-owner of Marseille has always been known for his outspoken character and his brutal honesty.
"At the end of the day, the directors will realise that a manager is there to manage and that players have to respect them, be that in good decisions or bad decisions," he added.
Neymar, the club's star, didn't escape the blows dealt by Tapie. "Never in my life as a football fan have I seen a mess like this one, it's unimaginable," he said referring to the problems the Brazilian has created and implying that PSG put the striker's individual needs above the wellbeing of the squad.
However controversial Tapie's statements may be, the rivalry between Marseille and PSG is no new phenomenon, and supporters of 'Les Olympiens' celebrate PSG's failings like a victory.
Following a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Zidane's Real Madrid in the Champions League on Wednesday night, PSG manager Unai Emery still maintains that his side can claw back the tie in the return fixture.
First, he'll have to get the Parisian circus under control.
