According to sources close to the case, Platini would have asked for an amount of 7.2 million euros. From there, 5.5 million would be for salary arrears after being sanctioned for four years.
"Through my lawyers I ask for the application of the contractual elements," Platini assured the aforementioned source, thus stating that these amounts "are false".
"We ask for a salary balance that we believe was contractually due. We haven't claimed the bonus, nor in the state a salary amount like the one you mention," Vincent Solari, one of Platini's lawyers, told 'AFP'.
On Tuesday, Platini closed his blackest chapter in his history in football. For four years he was on the sidelines when the cases of corruption and unfair payments between the Frenchman and Blatter were uncovered.
