Ancelotti has given an interview to 'La Gazetta dello Sport' and has given a brief review of the latest coronavirus situation. A player at Everton has been struck down by it.
"We are not confined, but preventative measures with regards to the players health have been taken. He is improving and his fever has dropped, and that is the most important thing," he explained.
With regards to the Premier League being suspended, Ancelotti strongly supported the decision because it is to do with the health of thousands of people. "It was time for the Premier League to stop. It was a fair decision given the situation in recent hours. The health is the priority," he continued.
That said, the Italian was sincere saying that the decision should have been taken beforehand. "I followed the Prime Minister's press conference and I think they have still not realised the seriousness of the situation. Football, when it comes to problems of life or death should be put to one side. In these moments, football doesn't count, we are fighting a pandemic and the priority is to focus on that fight," he ended.
