Ada Hegerberg is on cloud nine. It's been a long time since she felt a footballer like she did last Tuesday. The Olympique Lyon forward felt once again the adrenaline of a Champions League game.
It was back in January 2020 when she tore her ACL, an injury that left her out for 21 months.
The best football player in 2018 and the Champions League's record top scorer, played 15 minutes in Lyon's 3-0 win over Hacken. She will get her form back step by step.
After the final whistle, Hegerberg couldn't hold her tears and said "It was really hard and mentally challenging", as 'AS' reported.
"I have grown as a woman and as a player. This makes me stronger for the following years. I missed football and I missed everyone", she claimed.
