The 26-year-old impressed during his maiden top-flight campaign, scoring five goals in seven games before snapping his ACL in September 2015.
As if that weren't enough, he suffered the same injury in his opposite knee just 16 monhts later, again sidelining him long term.
With the club having stuck by him during those setbacks, the pacey forward has now moved to show his gratitude, signing fresh terms with the 'Cherries'.
Those injuries now seem to be behind Wilson, who has missed just two of Bournemouth's last 33 games.
The former Coventry City man scored eight goals in 28 Premier League games last season and he will be keen to plunder double figures this time around.
Speaking to the club's official website Wilson said: "I'm delighted to sign.
"It's nice to see that the hard work I've put in be rewarded and I'm excited about the future.
"During my time at the club I feel like I've developed as a player, both physically and mentally. I've progressed and learnt a lot about the game and the position I play."
