OFFICIAL: James will not play with Colombia due to injury

Recently, alarm bells have been sounding when several medics pointed out an important injury in the midfielder's knee. Finally, it is confirmed, although it has not yet been made public what the footballer's problem is.

The Colombian Federation finally announced that the player will have to return to Spain to recover from his injury at the hands of Real Madrid. The decision has been agreed by the club and the national team.

"The Colombian national team report that, after carrying out the pertinent tests on James Rodriguez, we decided, with agreement from Real Madrid, to remove the player and allow him to return to his club, bearing in mind that he cannot play in the games against Peru and Ecuador," the statement said.

"The player James Rodriguez will continue his recuperation at the hands of Real Madrid. We wish him a speedy recovery and a rapid return to the club, to who we are grateful for their understanding and cooperation," the message finished.
