Antoine Griezmann has reaffirmed his desire to stay at Atletico Madrid, rejecting interest from Barcelona, by signing a new contract to 2023. In doing so, he is joined by full-back Lucas, who has committed his future to the club until 2024.
Meanwhile, Lemar has oficially put pen to paper on his move from Monaco.
Miguel Angel Gil Marin flew into France's World Cup training base to complete the business after being given the green light by Bleus' boss Didier Deschamps and the French Football Federation.
Greizmann recently announced his decision to stay at the club he arrived at from Real Sociedad back in 2014. Since then, the Frenchman has become a key cog in Diego Simeone's machine and he will now continue to be so going forward.
22-year-old 'Atleti' academy product Lucas has also been tied down, signing a new six-year deal for the club he has made 88 appearances for in his career to date.
The pair will now be able to welcome fellow countryman Thomas Lemar to the club. Lemar, also 22, makes the move from Ligue 1, where he represented Caen and Monaco. The Guadeloupe-born flanker scored 22 goals in 137 games for the Moneqasque side. Atletico did not confirm the length of his deal.
