Odegaard, Madrid's ally to sign Mbappe

Practically all competitions start this weekend, but clubs can still move in the market. They have room to add reinforcements.
Real Madrid would be delighted to welcome Mbappe to their ranks. At PSG, however, everyone is taking it for granted that he will remain in 2021-22. "Mbappe is ours and will remain ours," Pochettino said of him.
But in France they fear that Madrid will find a formula to take Mbappe. 'L'Équipe' claims that 'Los Blancos' have an ally in Martin Odegaard.
Real Madrid are in talks with Arsenal to finalise his transfer. In the last few hours, both sides have come closer and the Gunners could sign the Norwegian for around 50 million euros.
'L'Équipe' understands that if Arsenal do indeed pay 50 million euros for Odegaard, Madrid will raise their offer for Mbappe. Right now, and according to this source, Madrid would have 122 million euros to try to sign Mbappe, a figure that would go up to €150m if Arsenal finally get the midfielder.
The market is in its final weeks and there could still be a bombshell. Meanwhile, PSG are confident of retaining Mbappe, the player remains oblivious to the rumours, while Madrid hope and wish to be able to count on the attacker before 2022, when his contract with the French side expires.
