Norwich City v Man. Utd - as it happened
Thanks for joining me this evening for the first of these FA Cup ties. See you on Tuesday for the Barca v Atlético match.
FT a.e.t: Norwich 1-2 Man United. Heartbreak for Norwich as United knick it right at the death. The Red Devils will be going to Wembley.
1 minute added time.
Fernandes has a shot which goes over the bar.
Idah on for Lewis.
Heartbreak for Norwich. Pinball in the box and Maguire slides in and puts it in. A huge goal and Norwich will feel rotten.
If Norwich go through here then Krul has to be given man of the match. He and the Norwich defenders will be really really nervous.
Maguire has a looping header which goes over the bar.
Fernandes has a shot from far out which Krul gets down to parry.
WHAT A SAVE FROM KRUL. The corner comes in, Maguire gets up and heads it in the corner but Krul somehow gets down and parries away. They are holding on.
Of course, Krul was the keeper when Norwich beat Tottenham on penalties in the last round.
You get the feeling that Norwich would take penalties, United, on the other hand, don't want that.
Fernandes is booked for bringing down Hernández. A cynical foul, he didn't even go for the ball.
Fernandes skies a shot over the bar.
If this goes to penalties, we all remember what happened when Tim Krul came on for the Netherlands in the 2014 World Cup...
And we are back!!
HT in ET: Norwich 0-0 Manchester United. The hosts are holding on with the away side doing all the attacking.
This time Rashford has an effort from far out which goes over the bar.
1 minute added time.
Rashford puts in a cross but Martial can't get on the end of it.
Pogba has a shot from the edge of the box that Krul fumbles, but luckily for him he manages to collect it.
Fernandes has a free-kick from a tight angle which doesn't trouble Krul and goes wide.
That's all that Norwich need... another United striker.
Bailly off for Martial.
Norwich have it all to do in this half, especially with 10 men.
Bailly then has a volley which he skies over the bar.
Rashford has a shot from the edge of the box which Krul parries out for a corner.
The cross comes in and Pogba's glancing header goes wide.
And we are back.
FT in normal time: Norwich 1-1 Man United. Extra time coming up with United not being able to find a winner. Stay tuned.
Krul has just kept Norwich in this. He first made a save from Pogba and then from Rashford. They can breathe.
United are camped in Norwich's half. The hosts are defending for their lives.
6 minutes added time.
Norwich sub: Trybull on for Cantwell.
Shaw puts in the cross and it goes right across the face of goal but no one can get a touch.
And Klose is sent off!!!! He pulls down Ighalo at the edge of the box. A huge chance for United now.
Just over two minutes a winner.
So nearly a winner for Norwich. Aarons has a shot from the corner of the box which goes just past Romero's left-hand post.
A reminder that this match will go to extra time if there are no more goals.
Greenwood gets into the box and fires a shot wide. He should have probably passed it to a teammate.
United sub: Fred off for Pogba.
United sub: Matic on for McTominay.
And Norwich level. The ball is passed to Cantwell and from 20 yards out he fires into the bottom corner. Game on.
Norwich sub: Drmic off for Pukki.
What a chance for Norwich. The free-kick comes in, Tettey heads it and it's cleared off the line by Godfrey. It may not have been going in but it was a great chance.
Norwich sub: Rupp off for Hernández.
United sub: Lingard off for Rashford.
United sub: Greenwood on for Mata.
United sub: Dalot off for Williams.
United are trying to get a second here.
I see United winning this one, especially since that was the first shot on target.
And Odion Ighalo makes it 1-0. McTominay crosses in, the ball hits a Norwich player and comes to Ighalo who turns and puts it in. He would have been offside if a United player had touched it.
No subs yet but United have come out very well.
And we're back.
HT: Norwich 0-0 Manchester United. A very dull game so far, hoping for more in the second half.
2 minutes added time.
And Cantwell is back on the pitch because he's just skied a shot over the bar. Good news after all.
Cantwell is down injured for Norwich. It could be a big blow for the Canaries. They'll just want him to get some rest.
I do actually see this game going to extra time or penalties if the tempo stays the same. Maybe both sides will make some changes to give them some fire power.
The corner comes in and Bailly skies his header.
And we finally have a half chance. Mclean has a shot from the edge of the box which he skies over the bar.
There has literally been nothing in this match.
Still no clear chances yet. It has been a pretty full game so far.
I think the changes have affected the tempo of this match, a lot of thee players haven't even started or played since March.
United have had the most possession so far.
Maguire has a header which Krul easily gets. Still no clear-cut chances.
United have changed a lot of their team for this match, if this is a draw at full-time a reminder that it will go to extra time and penalties.
Players take the knee and we're off!!
Minute applause for all those who have sadly passed away because of the coronavirus.
Can't wait until fans are back and they can experience games like this.
Both teams are out.
United were knocked out at this stage last season to Wolves. They last won it in 15-16.
This is the furthest Norwich have got in the competition since 1992 when they lost to Sunderland in the semi-final.
Here what Ole had to say.
There hasn't been a 0-0 in this fixture since 1986, and United have scored in their last 8 matches against Norwich.
This is the first FA Cup meeting between the two since 1994. Norwich haven't beaten United in a cup competition since 1991.
Norwich haven't beaten Man Utd since 2015. They haven't won at home to them since 2012.
Well the games come thick and fast and there are lots of changes to both sides. United have Romero, Dalot, Bailly, McTominay, Fred, Mata, Lingard and Ighalo all coming in.
Man Utd XI: Romero, Dalot, Bailly, Maguire, Shaw, McTominay, Fred, Mata, Fernandes, Lingard, Ighalo.
Norwich XI: Krul, Aarons, Godfrey, Klose, Lewis, Tettey, McLean, Rupp, Buendia, Cantwell, Pukki.
Hello and welcome to Carrow Road for this FA Cup quarter-final match between Norwich and Manchester United. Team news to come.
