"Nobody thanked us for having prevented Cristiano getting infected"

The match between Juventus and Napoli ended up being postponed, but it was controversial as Juventus were ready to play until the last moment despite Napoli's positive cases. 

"The protocol is no good when it comes to health and the laws. Napoli didn't travel because the ASL (local health authority) decided that and Juventus ended up going to play with the ballboys," the president of the Campania region, Vincenzo De Luca, said on social media. 

The Neapolitan outfit could not travel and they had to quarantine because of their positive games. Juventus also formed a bubble because of the virus, but the Portuguese striker reportedly left it. 

"Nobody has thanked us for preventing Cristiano Ronaldo from getting the virus. Try and imagine it. If Napoli had travelled with several positive cases in their squad like Genoa did. If Ronaldo had got the virus a week later, we would have hit the front pages even of the 'New York Times', De Luca said. 

He also responded to Mancini's comments. "Everyone has to do their job. Imagine if, as well as football, hotel companies also made a protocol which had exceptions to the laws. We could just close the health ministry. There reaches a point where sport is no longer sport."
