Alvaro Morata and Real Madrid's paths separate once again. The striker returned to the club in search of game-time and success with the 'Blancos', but it was not to be in his second spell.
The 24-year-old is now a Chelsea player, the Premier League champions paying up to £70 million for his services. Once the news of his transfer surfaced, Morata decided to say goodbye to all members of the Real Madrid squad and staff.
He shared a quiet word with manager Zidane before embracing in an emotional hug, and was subsequently mobbed by teammates such as Isco or Carvajal, who wanted to bid farewell at their UCLA pre-season camp in Los Angeles.
He then addressed the camera directly: 'Many thanks for everything. It's been incredible to once again win trophies here. I hope, whenever they're not up against my team, that Madrid always win'.
