The Croatian midfielder and the Portuguese forward both appear to be nailed on to start for Madrid in Kiev, while Bale and Benzema will fight it out for the spot alongside Cristiano up front. The four are the only players in the Real team to have scored past the 'Reds'.
Karim Benzema bagged three of Madrid's four goals when the two sides faced each other in the group stages of the Champions League in 2014/15. These days he isn't the goal machine he once was, but back then his hat-trick over 176 minutes saw Liverpool lose 0-3 and 1-0.
Cristiano has also scored thrice against the English side, but he has accumulated this tally over the course of eleven games. Two of these came with Mancheter United (2007/8 and 2008/9), while he also notched in the 0-3 at Anfield in 2014.
In the case of Bale, the Welshman has faced Liverpool ten times, scoring once, providing two assists and seeing one goal ruled out. His one goal was in 2012 with Tottenham.
Luka Modric has also had fortune against the Merseyside club. Over the course of just four months, in 2011, the midfielder scored two goals, showing he has an eye for goal against Liverpool.
On the other hand, not one player from Jurgen Klopp's side has managed to put a goal past Real. In Kiev they will look to break their duck, while 'Los Blancos' will go into the game with a large amount of confidence.
