Meunier rules out leaving in January

The defender Meunier has been linked with several teams in this transfer window. Atletico Madrid was one of the clubs most interested in him because they were looking for two full-backs to replace the departures of Filipe Luis, Lucas and Juanfran. 

The Belgian said he was about to leave, but in the end, there was no agreement reached between him and the club. As a result, he is still in Thomas Tuchel's squad and he is very important for them.

In comments to 'RTBF', Meunier assured that he does not have any intention of packing his bags in the winter. 

"I'm not contemplating a transfer in January even if I'm on the bench for for the first part of the season," the Belgium international said. 

Last season, Meunier continued to play more or less the same number of games he has been playing at PSG and this term, he has made two starts.
