FT: Liverpool 1-0 West Ham! A tense night for Liverpool at Anfield, but boy, those three points will feel all the sweeter for having survived a fantastically creditable performance from West Ham. The visitors had their chances, not least through Michail Antonio and, most glaringly, Manuel Lanzini, but Sadio Mane's goal just before the half-hour mark was all Liverpool needed. Seven straight Premier League wins for the Reds, who continue their fascinating title race with Man City.
  • 95'
Liverpool sub: Curtis Jones on for Luis Diaz.
  • 95'
    Sadio Mane is booked.
  • 93'
West Ham: Daniel Chester makes his official debut in Premier League, he takes the field on for Fornals.
  • 90'
Liverpool sub: Milner replaces Naby Keita.

Yellow card

a Liverpool
  • 89'
Diogo Jota is cautioned for a bad foul on Fornals.
  • 89'
All the big defenders are up... and Robertson at the near post heads it back to Cresswell, and Alisson punches the second ball away. Liverpool break and Lanzini gets back to block Jota's cross.
  • 88'
    Corner awarded to West Ham.
  • 84'
    Foul by Konate on Antonio.
  • 81'
What a challenge by Keita to deny Antonio! Noble plays a magnificent ball with the outside of his right foot, across the pitch, where Antonio charges forward. As he makes it into the penalty area, Robertson gets a touch in and that allows Keita to come across and intercept.
  • 79'
Liverpool sub: Diogo Jota on for Salah.
  • 76'
Robertson crosses but it's behind Diaz, and when he eventually does get it on the edge of the box, his effort is just outside of the top corner.
  • 76'
Mane finds two opportunities to shoot from inside the box. The first is blocked by Dawson, the second by Johnson, and still Liverpool cannot find a way through again.
  • 74'
Aaron Cresswell tries a through ball, but Saïd Benrahma is caught offside.
  • 70'
How has Manuel Lanzini missed?! It's a lovely move by West Ham, Fornals whipping a beautiful ball in towards the penalty spot. Lanzini touches it down well, and - intentionally or not - dummies Alexander-Arnold, leaving the goal gaping. Instead he smashes it high into the stand. What a chance.
  • 68'
Sharp move between Liverpool, Mane pinging the ball to Henderson, who touches it for Salah, and he fires it powerfully straight at Fabianski.
  • 68'
Sharp move between Liverpool, Mane pinging the ball to Henderson, who touches it for Salah, and he fires it powerfully straight at Fabianski.
  • 64'
Diaz again is involved in a very good Liverpool chance. Mane turns inside the West Ham half and finds his teammate, left of goal about 22 yards out, and he looks to bend into Fabianski's left-hand bottom corner, the ball drifting just wide.
  • 61'
Hammer sub: Mark Noble is on, in place of Vlasic.
  • 53'
West Ham sub: Said Benrahma will be coming on in Bowen's place.
Injury

Injured

en West Ham
  • 52'
Bowen's in need of some treatment here. Looks like it could be his calf, based on the way he's stretching after gingerly being helped to his feet by the medical team. He's limping pretty heavily and the medics indicate a change will be needed. That doesn't look great for Bowen.
  • 48'
Van Dijk's poor header gives Bowen a chance to try and run in behind, but Robertson comes across to intercept and win a goal kick. Jurgen Klopp will be warier still after that.
  • 46'
West Ham get us going again!
  • 45'
HT: Liverpool 1-0 West Ham! It's been a half of plenty of chances at both ends, largely thanks to Antonio at one end, but at the other, Sadio Mane is the player who has converted, and Liverpool lead at the break.
  • 45'
    1 minute added on!
  • 44'
Salah now puts a shot into the Anfield Road Stand on the volley.
  • 43'
Well, of all Antonio's shots today, this one is the poorest. Bowen puts a pass between the lines for him and, knowing he's about to be smothered by Liverpool defenders, Antonio on the turn shoots from about 25 yards, and it's a long way wide and powerless past the post.
  • 39'
Now Liverpool clear off the line! Fornals is played in over the top by Ben Johnson, and he dinks over Alisson, only for Alexander-Arnold to get back and clear away. That only goes as far as Fornals, who forces a save from Alisson from a header, and then Nikola Vlasic's effort is blocked behind.
  • 38'
Off the line! Not sure how West Ham haven't conceded here. Alexander-Arnold's cross is poked goalwards by Diaz, which Fabianski saves and ricochets against Aaron Cresswell, who then boots off the line.
  • 34'
Craig Dawson is shown the yellow card for a bad foul.
  • 32'
Kurt Zouma is booked for a bad foul on Luis Diaz. Nice chance for Liverpool from the edge of the box.

  • 27'
GOAL for Liverpool! Liverpool's goal has been coming, and Sadio Mane has it. Trent Alexander-Arnold perhaps shoots from distance, but it ends up being perfect for Mane to tap in from six yards.
  • 22'
West Ham have had a couple of openings - Antonio cuts inside Konate and forces a save from Alisson now.
  • 21'
Robertson gets a corner for hosts.
  • 19'
Salah's twisting and turning as he always does on that right-hand side, though twice West Ham have got a third player across to cover. Liverpool keep possession and work it for Mane to shoot from 25 yards, but it's nowhere near Fabianski's goal.
  • 15'
Pablo Fornals is flagged for offside.
  • 14'
That's a firm strike from Antonio, and Alisson for a moment looked in some danger. Pablo Fornals plays a lovely ball over the top for his striker, who volleys first time with his left foot. Alisson parries and then has to make sure it drops the right side of his crossbar. Sharp from Antonio.
  • 12'
A moment later and Salah's firing wide of goal again, after a bit of chaos in the West Ham box. Andy Robertson pings across to Diaz, his shot is blocked by Dawson, and then Salah's effort drifts off target.
  • 12'
Fabinho loses the ball in midfield to Jarrod Bowen, but then manages to win it back. He finds Luis Diaz, who releases Salah on the right, but the Egyptian couldn't quite find Mane.
  • 8'
Michail Antonio had a long conversation with Jon Moss about something at a West Ham corner, as three Hammers players crowd Alisson.
  • 4'
Then, a moment later, Salah is again in the box after Sadio Mane's touch on, and wants a penalty after Craig Dawson's challenge - but the West Ham defender won the ball.
  • 4'
Virgil van Dijk attempts a backheel from an Alexander-Arnold free-kick from left, which is just wide.
  • 4'
    Corner awarded to Liverpool.
  • 2'
Mo Salah should have given Liverpool the lead inside 75 seconds. Nikola Vlasic was offside and Trent Alexander-Arnold took the free-kick quickly, with Salah essentially one-on-one from halfway inside the West Ham half. He bursts into the box but Lukasz Fabianski stands tall and saves.
  • 2'
Aaron Cresswell tries a through ball, but Nikola Vlasic is caught offside.
