TEAM NEWS
Liverpool
The main news for Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool is that two of their star strikers have been ruled out through injury. Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino are suffering from head and groin injuries, respectively, and won't face Barcelona. A tough piece of news for Liverpool fans but with his late winner against Newcastle, Divock Origi has proven to be a suitable replacement. Mane will be named in the starting line-up too, while Henderson is expected to start over Milner. Liverpool will be counting on their talisman, Virgil van Dijk to put a shift in at the back alongside Joe Gomez who performed well in the first-leg.
Barcelona
Ernesto Valverde will have to do without Ousmane Dembele this week due to an ongoing hamstring problem. No matter though, as Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Philippe Coutinho are all raring to go for Barcelona, who take a 3-0 lead into the second-leg. Valverde also opted to rest the majority of his first team squad against Celta Vigo in preparation for the semi-final so Barcelona will have the advantage of fresh legs going into this tie. Pique will likely stand strong in defence, with Vidal in midfield just in front of him.
MANAGERS' THOUGHTS
Jurgen Klopp
"I will imagine the place will be rocking before we score already, to be honest. That's what I expect. If we can score, that's how it is. But look we not only have to score, we have to deny Barcelona from scoring.
"We know about how big the challenge is. This team is just so wonderful that they will try, we all will try, 100 per cent.
"The result in Barcelona didn't help a lot honestly. We are far from giving up, but we are not in a situation where we say, 'It will happen, 100 per cent'. But it's football and that's why we give it a try and because of the boys and the character of the boys.
"Two of the world's best strikers are not available tomorrow night and we have to score four goals against Barcelona to go through after 90 minutes. It doesn't make life easier but as long as we have 11 players on the pitch then we will try it and everybody knows that."
Ernesto Valverde
"It was a match in which they took control of the game at times and it cost us, but we were victorious against a very strong team. But this is similar to last year, when we were also three goals ahead against Roma.
"They have had very clear opportunities. The shot against the post and the stop by Marc-Andre ter Stegen.
