The Champions League round of 16 is getting closer and closer. Liverpool will face Real Madrid in the first leg of the Champions League on 21st February at Anfield.
Jurgen Klopp could count on Luis Diaz, who had to undergo surgery on a knee injury in October 2022.
The striker gave an interview to 'Sky Sport' and confirmed that he could be available for the second leg against the Spanish side in the Champions League: "I hope to be back soon. Let's wait, let's wait. The idea is to get back and help the team with all my teammates. I want to be back and have a good second half of the season. I would like to be able to play at the Bernabeu, of course," he said.
Moreover, Klopp gave good news about his situation: "Luis is running now, it will take a few weeks still but he is now out on the pitch as well running, which is really good," the coach said.
The Colombian will not be the only player to return against Carlo Ancelotti's side. The German manager could also count on Diogo Jota, Virgil van Djik, Arthur Melo and Roberto Firmino.
