FT: Uruguay (0)4-5(0) Peru. What an upset this is! Peru has made it through to the Copa America semi-finals on penalties, therefore ending Uruguay's dream. Crazy night for South American football. Peru will now meet Chile in next week's game!
  • 120'
Edison Flores scores and Peru are through to the semi finals of the Copa America! What an upset!!
  • 120'
Torreira scores! But Peru only needs one last goal...
  • 120'
Goaaaaallll by Peru who are one goal away from Semi-finals!
  • 120'
    Uruguay equalise again! What now?
  • 120'
    Yotun scores! 3-2 for Peru!!!!
  • 120'
Stuani tricks Gallese and scores comfortably!
  • 120'
    Peru scores the second one!
  • 120'
    Cavani scores!!! parity restored!
  • 120'
And Peru score their first penalti!
  • 120'
Awful start for Uruguay! The goalkeeper saves Luis Suarez' strike!!!
  • 98'
    And to penalties we go!
  • 96'
A very late change from Uruguay, certainly in preparation for penalties, as Stuani takes the place of Valverde.
  • 96'
This is the third time in the Copa America quarter finals that penalties have been needed.
  • 96'
Zambrano produces a good block in the box to cut out a shot from Cavani. That will surely be that as there are just 60 seconds to go in Salvador.
  • 92'
7 min of added time... Will Uruguay manage to score or will this reach penalties again?
  • 89'
Cavani tries to attack the cross but he is beaten to it by Abram. Uruguay have a corner, which is cleared to the edge of the box. The ball is clipped back into the middle but it has too much on it and runs behind for a goal kick.
  • 85'
    Cueva is replaced by Ruidiaz.
  • 83'
Guerrero does brilliantly to bring the ball under control and he then plays in Flores on the overlap. He does not have anyone to aim for in the middle, though, and the cross goes right through the box without a touch.
  • 77'
WHAT A SHOT! Gonzales, who has not been on the field long, decides to have a go from range. It is just Peru's third shot of the evening and it ends well wide of the target.
  • 75'
    Gonzalez for Carillo in Peru!
  • 72'
    GOAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLL!
  • 67'
Uruguay really looking for that goal now... But no luck as of yet. a few really good chances have either been blocked by the goalkeeper or been off target. Cavani is particularly brilliant tonight.
  • 60'
Cavani scores, but he is way offside and he realises it immediately after. Second disallowed goal for Uruguay.
  • 58'
Torreira, who many expected to see start today, replaces Nandez.
  • 50'
YELLOW CARD! Zambrano barges into the back of Suarez and is shown the second yellow card of the evening.
  • 48'
Back the other way come Peru and Guerrero is played through on goal, but the offside flag is incorrectly raised! In the world of VAR, how does a linesman not keep his flag down unless absolutely sure?
  • 48'
Lively start to this second half! Valverde smacks a fierce free-kick at goal from a long way out, with Gallese having to come across to his near post to make a diving save!
  • 46'
    Second half underway!
  • 45'
HT: Uruguay 0-0 Peru. Peru has had some fair chances considering, but Uruguay is asserting it's dominance and, although the scoreline does not show it, it has dominated play. See you in 15 min folks!
  • 45'
2 min of added time in this first half!
  • 41'
Decent effort! Certainly worth a try from Suarez as he meets a corner with an acrobatic volley, just slightly getting the contact wrong as he lifts a high, looping effort into the air.
  • 37'
Penalty shouts denied! Guerrero is played through on goal by Cueva, but lacks the pace to separate from the defence as Gimenez shows great recovery speed to close down and dispossess the striker with a strong shoulder to shoulder challenge.

  • 33'
Godin lunges through the back of Guerrero in an attempt to win the ball back, and that dangerous slide will earn him the game's first yellow card.
  • 28'
What a chance! It looks like a goal, but it is almost immediately annulled by the referees, as it was a clear offside by Uruguay!
  • 23'
HOW DID CAVANI MISS THAT! An amazing asssist by Luis Suarez, but Cavani's shot was way out of target by at least a few yards and he misses what could have been an amazing goal.
  • 21'
After coming under a bit of pressure, Peru have weathered the storm and are back on the front foot themselves, looking to respond with a chance of their own. It's just not happening for them right now on the front foot, though.
  • 17'
Vital piece of defending! Nandez is sprung into the area and has a clean sight of goal, but his hesitation allows Abram to recover, sliding in expertly with an important deflection that takes the sting out of Nandez's shot as it deflects kindly into the waiting arms of Gallese.
  • 15'
Foul on Cavani after he's pushed and pulled by a Peruvian player.
  • 14'
Suarez with the first chance of the game! What a header that was!
  • 11'
Foul on Peru, having backed off a fair bit in the opening seven minutes or so, are now on equal footing with their opponents. The tempo of the match has been pretty flat up until this point - fingers crossed it will step up a few notches shortly.
  • 4'
Uruguay is awarded a free kick just inside the opposition and it is launched forward, but the Peruvian defence gets to it first.
  • 3'
A reminder that the winners of this fourth and final quarter-final will face Chile, back-to-back winners of the competition, for a place in the final. Uruguay are the strong favourites to get the job done.
