There is a new chapter in the Lewandowski saga. Everyone already knows that the striker wants to leave Bayern Munich and that Joan Laporta is doing everything that he can to get him. According to the newspaper 'Sport', there was a phonecall between the two. It happened last week and Lewandowski's agent, Pini Zahavi, was also present.
Laporta asked for the two to be patient and he reassured them that he is doing everything that he can to bring him to the Camp Nou. The economic levers that he is working on, or player sales such as the possible departure of Frenkie de Jong to Manchester United, could make the difference.
The Pole asked for the situation to be resolved before the 12th July. This is the date that he has to rejoin Julian Nagelsmann and his teammates, which he doesn't want to do. Although he has already threatened to not show up, he is conscious that he is under contract there and will lose out if the Bavarian side punish him.
During their conversation, Laporta made it clear that Lewandowski is his priority and that he will concentrate all of his efforts in signing him. This aspect is key for the striker, as the Spanish side are also interested in making a move for Bernardo Silva or finishing the nearly confirmed arrivals of Kessie and Christensen.
