"If Haaland doesn't fall out of bed or break his ankle, he'll play"

Erling Haaland has yet to make his debut for Manchester City. To the surprise of many, the Norwegian was left on the bench in the last game against America (2-1).
Before the friendly against Bayern, at the pre-match press conference, the media wanted to know if Haaland was going to make his debut and, with a laugh, Guardiola confirmed it. "If nothing happens in training, if he doesn't fall out of bed or break his ankle, then he will play," he said.
The City boss explained that if Haaland did not play against the Mexican club it was not his decision. "He had some discomfort and some problems," he argued.
The Spaniard is looking forward to seeing the new arrival in action alongside Julian Alvarez, the other Cityzen signing who has already made his debut this pre-season. "They will have a positive effect on our game. Last season we had Gabriel Jesus. Now we have two specific, quality strikers," he said.
