Pogba was an integral part of the victorious French side, that beat Argentina, Uruguay and Belgium on their way to the final.
He even scored a decisive goal which helped them in their 4-2 final win over Croatia.
Pogba had receieved a lot of criticism following his £89million move to United, but ex-teammate Ibrahimovic stood up for him.
The Swede took to social media to congratulate the Frenchman:
"Let them talk but the game speaks for itself @paulpogba #pogcup #myapprentice #congratsfrance"

Ibrahimovic, who now plys his trade in the MLS with Los Angeles FC took Pogba under his wing at Manchester United, making a joke that the 25-year-old was his "apprentice".
Pogba replied to the post saying: "Merci for the words Lion, love you man. You could work on your hashtags though."
The Frenchman has received criticism over the past few seasons for under-performing, with some suggesting he spends too much time on his dancing and hair, rather than playing.
However, during his World Cup campaign, he's proved he has it all, and put any doubts to bed.
Pundit and former Mancester United player Rio Ferdinand said that Pogba must now live up to this level for his club.
"He showed in this tournament he has it all, the defensive discipline and attacking but he hasn't come together yet in a Manchester United shirt. But [Jose] Mourinho has to unlock this Pogba at United."
