The Bank of England is currently in the process of redesigning much of England's currency as they launch new notes and a call for suggestions from the public led to online presence Jonny Sharples coming up with a suggestion that has quickly captured the imagination of the English public.
The suggestion? None other than Maguire riding an inflatable unicorn. The Leicester City defender shot to prominence during the World Cup as his dominant aerial display earned him the moniker "slab head" and now, almost 15,000 people have signed a petition to see the Sheffield-born battler immortalised on the English currency.
"The Bank of England are redesigning the £50 following the successful redesign of the £5, £10, and £20 notes. None of these notes so far have featured a World Cup semi finalist floating on a mythical creature, and in the interests of football's attempts to come home, who would be more appropriate to feature than Harry Maguire riding an inflatable unicorn?" Sharples wrote on the Change.org website.
"I love slab head" and "the man is a legend" are just some of the comments made on the page, which is currently beiting out a rival suggestion in the form of former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher.
England's players have even got involved in the movement, with Kyle Walker championing the idea.
Steam engine pioneers James Watt and Mattew Boulton currently appear on the £50 note.
