The move by the NBA star, called 'The Decision' resolved one of the great mysteries of the decade. LeBron, in search of Championship winner's rings, left the Cleveland Cavaliers to play at the Florida-based franchise. He announced his decision exlcusively on a TV show on 'ESPN' to the whole of the United States, a marketing stunt on a level that had never been seen before.
LeBron's way of revealing his future provoked a lot of controversy. In Cleveland they felt used and betrayed. Even LeBron James himself regretted the way in which he announced his future.
"If I could go back and do it again, I would probably do it differently. There will always be people who misunderstand your intentions. Even though I don't know how I'd change it, I'd definitely do it in a different way." LeBron commented in the months following it.
Griezmann has chosen his particular 'The Decision' to announce that he will stay at Atletico Madrid, something Spanish newspaper 'COPE' had predicted earlier in the day.
"King James's" programme was aired on 8th July 2010 and LeBron was five minutes late in announcing him decision to go to Miami. Griezmann's lasted 30 minutes.
